YUNG DSA, whose real name is Harsh Vijay Machare, is an Indian rapper and hip-hop artist associated with Yerwada in Pune, Maharashtra. His upbringing in Pune has played an important role in shaping his artistic identity. His music frequently draws from local street culture, Marathi influences, slang and the everyday experiences of the environment in which he grew up.
According to biographical reports, YUNG DSA developed an interest in rap at a young age and began rapping when he was around 12 years old. Rather than coming from an established music family, he developed his skills through his own interest in hip-hop. His early exposure to Pune’s local culture eventually became an important part of the sound and personality he brought to his music.
His path into professional music was not immediate. Before becoming a full-time rapper, reports say that YUNG DSA worked in a BPO/call-centre job, while continuing to pursue music. The job provided a source of income while he developed his artistic career, and he eventually left it after the success of his music gave him an opportunity to concentrate on rap professionally.
Yung Dsa Education
Information about YUNG DSA’s formal education is limited. Available biographical sources indicate that he completed his schooling in Pune, Maharashtra, but his specific school has not been reliably established through strong public sources.
There are conflicting claims online about whether he pursued higher education. One recent biography site claims that he was an undergraduate associated with Mumbai University, while other sources state that his higher-education details are not publicly available. Because these claims have not been independently confirmed, his college education should not be treated as established fact.
Music became the major focus of YUNG DSA’s development from his teenage years onward. His reported decision not to attend a formal music school did not prevent him from developing a career in hip-hop. Instead, he built his musical identity through practice, songwriting, performances and engagement with India’s independent rap scene.
Yung Dsa Career
YUNG DSA’s recorded music journey dates back to 2021, when he released music including “Yung Sitar.” His style developed around desi hip-hop, trap, Pune street culture, Marathi influences and traditional Indian sounds. His breakthrough came with “YEDA YUNG,” released in 2024 through the Gully Gang Records ecosystem. The song significantly expanded his audience and became the release most closely associated with his rise.
Following the success of “YEDA YUNG,” YUNG DSA continued releasing music, including “Maaf Kar,” “Chala Kalti,” “Rade Rapate,” and “Fachadi.” His catalogue has also included different-language remixes of “YEDA YUNG,” helping extend his music beyond its original audience. In 2025, he also released “Maaf Kar” through Sony Music India, according to biographical records.
In 2026, his career expanded beyond independent rap. He contributed vocals and lyrics to “Goni Mein Paisa,” a song from the Netflix film Toaster, alongside Aman Pant and other collaborators.
Another major milestone came in September 2026 when YUNG DSA entered Bigg Boss 20. He subsequently became the show’s first captain after competing in the first captaincy task with Aasif Khan and Kushal Tanwar. His television appearance introduced his music and Pune-rooted personality to a substantially broader mainstream audience.
Yung Dsa Personal Life and Family
YUNG DSA has kept much of his personal life away from the public eye. Although several websites publish information about his parents, relationships and family background, there is limited reliable primary documentation confirming the names of his immediate family members. For that reason, specific claims about his parents should be treated cautiously.
His family has nevertheless been part of the story behind his career. Reports about his BPO period indicate that he was working while pursuing music and supporting himself and his family. This period preceded his decision to leave regular employment and pursue rap professionally after his music began gaining wider recognition.
Regarding marriage and relationships, YUNG DSA is not publicly confirmed to have a wife or children. Some recent reports refer to a girlfriend, but her identity has not been reliably established through strong public sources. Therefore, it is more accurate to describe his relationship status as private/not fully publicly confirmed rather than attach an unverified name to him.
YUNG DSA Age, Religion, Nationality, Height and Physical Appearance
YUNG DSA’s age is one of the details for which online sources disagree. Some current sources list 2000 as his birth year and 26 as his age in 2026, while StarsUnfolded lists 2004 and gives a different age. Another source gives the specific date of December 30, 2000, but this has not been independently confirmed by a strong primary source. For an accurate biography, his age should therefore be treated as approximately 26 in 2026, rather than an indisputable figure.
YUNG DSA is Indian and is associated with Yerwada, Pune, Maharashtra. His religion has also been inconsistently reported online: one biography source says he follows Hinduism, while other sources state that his religion has not been publicly confirmed. His commonly reported height is approximately 5 feet 8 inches (173 cm). He has black hair and dark eyes, and his recognizable appearance is closely connected with the streetwear and contemporary hip-hop aesthetic he uses as a performer.
Yung Dsa Social Media Presence
YUNG DSA has built a significant online presence alongside his music career. His Instagram handle is @yung_dsa, where he shares music-related content, performances, photographs and updates. Third-party social-media tracking services have reported rapid growth in his Instagram audience during his Bigg Boss 20 appearance, although follower numbers change continuously.
His wider digital presence also includes streaming platforms. Chartmetric listed approximately 1.2 million Spotify monthly listeners at the end of September 2026, demonstrating the size of the audience around his recorded music.
YUNG DSA Net Worth
There is no officially verified public figure for YUNG DSA’s net worth as of October 2026. His earnings can come from several areas, including music streaming, songwriting, live performances, collaborations, digital content, film music and television appearances.
His career changed financially after “YEDA YUNG” became successful and he was able to move away from his previous BPO employment. His subsequent catalogue, live performances and collaborations created additional potential income streams. His contribution to Toaster through “Goni Mein Paisa” also represents an expansion into film music.
Because neither his personal earnings nor his Bigg Boss 20 remuneration has been publicly verified, assigning a precise net-worth figure would be speculative. A reasonable description is that YUNG DSA is an emerging professional rapper with multiple income sources, but his actual wealth remains undisclosed. Online estimates should therefore be treated as unofficial rather than factual financial figures.
Legacy
YUNG DSA’s developing legacy is closely connected to his representation of Pune’s independent hip-hop culture. His use of local slang, Marathi influences and street experiences has helped give his music a distinct regional identity while keeping it within the wider Indian hip-hop movement.
His journey from working in a BPO while pursuing music to becoming a full-time rapper is another important part of his public story. The success of “YEDA YUNG” provided a major turning point and helped him transition from an independent artist into a nationally recognized performer.
His 2026 appearance on Bigg Boss 20 represents another significant stage in his career. By moving from music platforms into mainstream reality television and contributing to a Bollywood/Netflix soundtrack, YUNG DSA has expanded his visibility beyond the independent rap audience. His long-term legacy will depend on the music and entertainment work he produces in the years ahead.
Conclusion
YUNG DSA, born Harsh Vijay Machare, is a Pune-based Indian rapper whose career has developed from early involvement in hip-hop and BPO employment to recognition through “YEDA YUNG,” subsequent music releases, film work and his appearance on Bigg Boss 20 in 2026.
